I'm glad you responded to that mail letter of last week. We try to send those out frequently as a general information piece concerning the USA telecom regulatory environment for our ‘friends & family.’ The weekly piece is usually written and produced by one of my long-time friends in New Zealand.
USA telecom regs have become so messy some guidance is always to be a requirement.
Ken, 10:41 AM
Agreed :)
I am glad that you send them out
Steve, 10:42 AM
thank you,
Ken, 10:42 AM
I don't always read them, but sometimes I do
Steve: 10:42 AM
Let me go through your questions, one by one, above
Ken, 7:47 AM
We are hitting about 100m lookups per day, so we really need the database rather than dipping externally
Steve , Today at 10:40 AM
The LRN, DNO, and DNC can all be hosted on your platform.
The LRN updates daily, the DNO and DNC update 1x a week.
We include a new LERG every month, as well.
Ken, 7:47 AM
Does your LRN cover Canada ?
Steve, 10:40 AM
Yes, Plus we include Canada in our DNO
Ken, 7:55 AM
Also please see if they do MySQL Replication Stream, thanks.
Steve,
All the DBs are hosted on a FTP server, you can set it up on your side to do automatic downloads, of course
Ken, 7:58 AM
Is there mobile / landline identifier on the LRN data?
Steve,
No, but you can program the LERG to identify these for you internally as we do, or you can dip this on our platform.
Ken, 8:02 AM
We have a requirement for DNO, but I want to know more about DNC as well so I can go back to my clients
Steve,
DNO is now required of all Gateway carriers into the USA. We built our DNO from eight or nine different data bases (including the TraceBack Group's DNO), and it contains 1.032 billion numbers)
Ken, 10:48 AM
Impressive :)
Steve, 10:49 AM
I think that covers your questions from above.
Database availability and other information is attached
Ken, 10:50 AM
Thanks, I appreciate that.
Just doing a bit of research at present we currently buy LRN from xxxx. It is a bit more for us to get these extra DNO and DNC, but I think it would be worth it if we are to keep pace with some of the US switching providers.
Steve, 10:52 AM
It’s nice to hear from you Ken, and don’t forget we are here to help… Best regards.. Steve.
